USA - Day 40 - Quebec City Citadelle and Rain

Today we went in search of the Citadelle. We walked up a lot of steep streets to the Chateau Frontenac, then we made our way along the very long boardwalk, with amazing views of the St Lawrence river. At the end we came to the beginning of the steps up to the Plains of Abraham; and there were many, many steps. Further on, we finally found the Citadelle; it was underground! It rained for most of our walk, so we were a bit wet by the time we got back to the hotel.

Huge stone walls.

Fall colors and the river.

Found it!
A small cannon.

Out again and walking back to the hotel a different way.
