USA - Day 50 - New York Irish Pub and 9-11 Memorial

We found an Irish Pub near the 9/11 Memorial and decided to have some lunch. Great atmosphere, food and the Irish apple cider was the best. Full of memorabilia on 9/11 as this was a gathering place for the firefighters, police and first responders. From here we crossed the street and made our way to the North and South Memorial reflection pools. A very special place. Then it was time to go inside the memorial building. We descended five stories underground, checking out displays along the way. This memorial is built around the existing foundations of the North and South towers. So glad we finally got to experience this. It was late in the day when we left, and the Hop On Hop Off bus was nowhere to be seen, so we ended up catching a taxi to around 31st Street, then walked the rest of the way up 8th Avenue to our digs on 39th Street. Our last sunset in New York is now happening.
