USA - Day 63 - New Orleans Vieux Carre

We made our way through the French Quarter (Vieux Carre) down St Ann Street all the way to Jackson Square. A little further and we came to Cafe Du Monde; famous for coffee and beignet. There was a huge queue so we continued on until we came to Market Cafe, near the little Joan of Arc square. They had live jazz so we stopped for some lunch (Jambalaya for me and Gumbo for Kent). Food was okay; jazz was great. We checked out the French Market nearby then headed back to Bourbon Street. We wandered along this famous street for a while; lots of live music in little joints along the way; then headed back to the hotel.

He spent last year in Tasmania (his girlfriend lives there) and recorded this CD.
