USA - Day 72 - Tucson Saguaro Nat Pk and Sunset

A medical appointment took up the next couple of hours; half hour driving each way plus an hour there. Afterwards we decided to drive straight to Tucson Mountain Pk and Saguaro Nat Pk to catch the sunset. Due to peak hour traffic, it was already beginning to get dark by the time we got there, so we kept going over the mountain and down into the national park. The visitor center had already closed for the day, but right next to it I discovered a huge cactus garden which was lovely at sunset. So quiet here you could hear the coyotes howling off in the distance. Time to leave and we returned to the mountain park and a quick stop to catch the last of the sunset behind us. Then it was back to our digs, with fuel and dinner stops along the way. A big day.
