Leaving Ashford, Connecticut we got back on the turnpike heading South West to New York. As we got closer, there were more and more overpasses (many roads lead to New York) and each one was different and many of them were memorials. We travelled into Manhattan via the Hudson River Parkway, and exited onto 42nd Street where we kept going until Times Square before looping around to the corner of 8th Avenue and 39th Street. Just up the street a little and we arrived at our digs, and we're on the 39th floor and can see the Empire State building. Bonus. Looking forward to the next four nights in the big smoke.
