Up early to catch the sunrise at the Grand Canyon. It was still dark when we left Tusayan and a short drive later we arrived at the Grand Canyon National Pk southern entrance. Free entry as it's Veterans Day today (no park rangers in sight). We drove to the carpark near the visitor center and already quite a few cars. Walked to the rim trail at Mathers Point in the dark then waited for the dawn. The small crowd already there were keeping quiet, which made the experience even more special. The closer it got to sunrise, the bigger the crowd became. Photos are from two cameras and in no particular order.
